The Capital Softball Association has announced their 3 year plan which will focus on 3 main pillars:
-Player Development
-Growth
-Sustainability
Player Development is achieved by putting athletes in environments where they’re challenged, but success is attainable. By offering multiple streams and competition levels, players can stay involved in sports longer, at a commitment level that suits their desired outcomes. The goal of any good program shouldn’t be wins and losses, but rather the development of athletes on and off the field of play. Helping to create athletes for life, good teammates, leaders, and reputable members of the community at large is more important than medal counts at the end of the day.
Growth is achieved by walking before you run. Delivering high quality programs for participants leads to natural growth over time. Reinforcing these programs by layering on additional levels of competition, special events, employment opportunities and more ultimately leads to a thriving program that is well regarded in the community.
Sustainability is achieved by doing what you say you will do, and doing it at a high level. CSA is founded on the notion of over delivering on experiences and exceeding expectations whenever possible. However, the programs we launch aren’t meant to be flashes in the pan. Here one year, and gone the next. CSA intends to continue building on solid foundations to reinvigorate the softball community in National Capital Region, and return it to a place where the sport is once again thriving.
If the vision above resonates with you, and you’d like to get involved, or you would like to learn more about the Capital Softball Association’s programming, please reach out to info@capitalsoftball.ca.
